Dot Black Onyx Gemstone Necklace
I call the black onyx beads in this handmade necklace dot black onyx. They have a matte finish. Faceting cuts through the finish to show a unique shiny round shaped area.The effect looks like polka dots.
The same process has been used for the large rock crystal quartz beads. They have transparent dots on a frosted surface.

The clear crystal quartz gemstone has been known as rock crystal for many years. The name distinguishes it from the man made glass crystal.
